Question:
Di, are Bed and Breakfasts a good place to stay? And can I find any in the North America or do I have to travel to Europe for a good Bed and Breakfast?
Di Patterson:
Absolutely! Bed and Breakfasts are very good places to stay and often times can be cheaper than hotels. They are usually quite clean and you get to stay in a cozy house instead of a huge hotel. Plus, most Bed and Breakfasts serve you a home cooked breakfast to help you start your day off right.
Bed and Breakfasts are all over the world. You don’t have to travel to Europe to stay in one, but you can find them practically anywhere these days. A great starting point is BedandBreakfast.com — the largest directory of B&B’s online, complete with photos and reviews.
Update: A good friend of mine just booked plane tickets from California to New York for $300 through Expedia.com and an beautiful apartment in Chelsea (swanky part of Manhattan) for only $175 a night… during high season! They found the apartment on BedandBreakfast.com.
